Hey everyone, here is an update on session two of 2025-2028 full book bargaining. I am sorry it has taken me so long to get this to you all, so thank you for your patience.
We started the session by accepting the FSU-BOT team counter proposals for articles one and six, and they are now in tentative agreement. Article one deals with university recognition of UFF-FSU-GAU and article six covers workload. We also presented to them proposals for articles two, three, four, and seven. Article two covers appointments, reappointments, and terminations, article three covers employment performance evaluations, article four covers graduate assistant files, and article seven covers outside employment or additional activity/outside employment/ conflicts of interest. After our presentation of these proposals, the FSU-BOT team presented their proposal for article seven, adding and adjusting language to reflect a new data collection system to be integrated for graduate students. It is already implemented for undergraduate students.
After discussing the proposed changes and going to caucus, FSU-BOT proposes minor changes to articles three and four, and we sign off on their changes, putting them into tentative agreement. We end the session with FSU-BOT wanting to consider our proposed changes for article seven. An update on our Impact MOU was requested, and they did not have a response at that time. When asked for an ETA, they said it should be ready next session.
Overall, this was a very successful session. We moved forward on numerous articles, and are making good progress on forging our 2025-2028 collective bargaining agreement. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to email us at bargaining@fsugau.com and we will respond as soon as we can.
